Why Home groups?
“And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds. Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.””
Our God is a God of relationships. He called us to walk in relationship with one another. We read in Acts chapter 2 how the early church met together. We are inspired to capture those values and live them out in our home groups and, where practical, in our everyday lives.
Home groups are an essential way through which we as a Church gather to live life for Jesus and grow our relationships with one another. As in the book of Acts, in the days of the early church, we want to see the same occurring in our home groups - people meeting, applying biblical truth from Sunday's meeting to the way we live our lives, worshiping together and praying together, learning to live out our faith within community. These communities then come together on a Sunday to worship God together, grow through the Word and enjoy our relationships together.
